What I’m Wearing
* Hailey printed halter maxi dress courtesy of Banana Republic
* White scoop neck basic T from Forever 21 …it was a bit chilly and I didn’t want to deal with the bra/halter situation.
* Vintage London Fog jacket …last seen here I think …but also seen here
* Asos boyfriend belt …wrapped around and under
* Various bangles, vinage & new, vintage Matisse necklace, upside down {it’s actually turquoise but I love the copper backside as well}
* Tom Ford Anouk sunglasses
* Miu Miu sandals
* Hair: had no time to style so I just tiny-clipped up the front and let it air-dry.
* Title: lyrics from Blue Oyster Cult “Burnin’ for You” …such a good jam.
How is it Monday again already?!? Man weekends are just not long enough! Did you make use of your measly 2 free days and have some fun? In all actuality, most of my weekend hours are spent working. But I’m fortunate that I get to do what I love most of the time so it doesn’t bother me. But this weekend was fun AND productive …and it may be a bit odd that I am indeed talking about it here because I usually don’t. But today, I’m going to so read on if you wish.
* I think I mentioned on Friday the husband and I, along with our friends, went downtown to see a few of our other friends in a movie screening …and it was hilarious. The venue was kind of fantastic and the theater was packed. Love seeing friends following their dreams and watching success unfold. Just greatness really.
* I FINALLY finished restoring my grandma’s other lamp and they are both now back together in my office/dressing room and I adore them. As for my office, it’s pretty much done …I’m just not in love with one section of it so as soon as I figure all that out, photos will be shared 😉
* Sunday afternoon Cynthia stopped by with all of her jewels abounding. I was giddy, I tell you …giddy. Note: Cynthia Wolff is an amazingly talented jewelry designer and she and I custom designed my engagement ring and wedding band in 2005. The husband and I will be celebrating our 5 year wedding anniversary in September so I convinced him a few months ago that I needed a new ring to celebrate it 😉 And he agreed. And of course, this is where Cynthia comes in and let me tell you, it’s unbelievably difficult to choose JUST ONE piece from Cynthia’s vast collection {because I want EVERYTHING} but I was lucky enough to get not one but two rings {my husband spoils me}. I’m literally dying with excitement and admittedly embarrassed about how the saying “diamonds are a girl’s best friend” may be 100% true in this instance. HOWEVER . . . he took them and hid them away and I won’t get to see them again until he presents them to me on our anniversary. IN SEPTEMBER! I’m dying I tell you. Dying. and I’d be lying if I said I WASN’T imagining them in my head off and on for the remainder of the day.
