What I’m Wearing
* Burberry Trench coat …last seen here {a gift from my father-in-law a couple years ago}
* Iisli black sweater dress …a gilt purchase …last seen here {with sweater & shoes as well}
* Heritage 1981 gray long cardigan
* American Apparel wine tights …must admit that as much as I hate wearing tights {um, because they are tight} AA’s are fairly comfortable.
* Silk Pashmina …My boss brought a handful of amazingly gorgeous silk Pashminas back from a recent trip to Syria, laid them out on the table and let us all choose our favorite. There is a reason I’ve worked for this man for over 9 years now. He’s not only a great boss, he’s very generous as well.
* black Ferragamo hobo bag …yet another gift from my father in law {this Christmas} …and isn’t nearly as shiny in person.
* Tom Ford sunglasses …I’m still waiting for my new ones!
* Topshop black patent brogues/oxfords …last seen above with dress
After slipping my shoes on, I bent over to tie them and was instantly reminded of high school, which put a smile on my face. I went to Catholic school where we had to wear a uniform and were only allowed to wear loafers or lace-up oxfords, like these. I had a similar pair that I found in a men’s shop which I loved. They were soft black leather and I would wear them with tights on cold days. It was such a fond memory of easier times and being young. Wow how time flies. You really don’t grasp just how quickly time passes until it’s gone, and it’s years later. They tell you that when you’re a kid but it just doesn’t click.
…later on, at home.
And what makes me happiest about this picture is the fact that in about 2 weeks I will not have to live with vertical blinds {and them falling out of place every time I open or shut them} any longer. Yay to change.
