Okay… this is a RIDICULOUSLY EASY DIY and I happen to love it. It’s the perfect vintage Levi’s hack to give those not-so-flattering-super-high-waist jeans a little something extra, though sadly, you do lose your actual pockets, but that’s what handbags are for, right?
I happen to love the idea of bare skin pockets… but they also look great with a little something showing through. And since bodysuits have arisen from the ’90s again, with these mom jeans, they’re the perfect compliment… and it should be noted that I recently bought FIVE OF THEM. This knit turtleneck number is by For Love & Lemons, but I also grabbed three traditional long-sleeved leotards from the local ballet store, so I’m set 😉
Here’s What You Need…
- High waist jeans… low rise will work, but it’ll be REAL CLOSE to your “situation” if you know what I mean, and go from sexy to trashy real quick. But I’ll leave that up to you 😉
- SCISSORS
Yes, that’s all.
Steps…
Simply and carefully, cut out the front pockets of your jeans all the way up to the waist, without cutting into the waist or side seams. Leave a little fringe for that distressed look if your jeans are already ripped like mine are.
Yes, that’s it!
And… Voila!
Peek-a-boo!
Have Fun!
