I’ve been writing -or trying to write- all week and although some nights it pours out of me, I’ve been a bit blocked and in a little bit of a rut this week {as many of you have as well}. So instead of trying to edit the gibberish I have gotten down, I thought I’d share some of my favorite things I’ve found this week… and I’m happy to say that none of them are related to the election 🙂
Tavi Gevinson’s November Editor’s Letter : I just adore the way Tavi’s brain works, because even as I am years and years older than she is, my brain works similarly. And the other night when I was feeling a little bit like I might be crazy and I may go crazy, I read her editor’s note and felt less alone. Images via Rookie Mag Instagram
How CUTE is this bright and colorful Friendsgiving Dinner in a Pinch via Proper? I never think in pastels for Fall, but I adore how this Thanksgiving tabletop and centerpiece looks.
I adore Gigi Hadid’s laid-back-yet-totally-glam style here. How she manages to be totally casual yet totally fabulous, is beyond, but she is. Photo credit: JAMES DEVANEY/GC IMAGES via InStyle Mag
I LOVE this video montage of Conor McGregor – Visualise , Manifest and Realise Your Dreams because it just pumps me up and reminds me to live positively, see the magic in every day and every moment, visualize the life I want to create and live life to the fullest.
I’ve been trying to finish my home office for-like-EVER and it’s never quite right. I keep thinking I’m going to finish it and photograph it and share it and then I get busy and it gets messy and I put it off… but I’m loving this setup via BlackRooster.
I’m a total night owl and no matter how hard I try to change my ways, my creativity sparks at night and I’m up and at it. With daylight savings tho, it’s been a little difficult to get and stay on track having fewer hours of sunlight to work with… and then I start to judge myself and freak out and feel like I’m failing at life. When I saw this on Twitter the other day, it reminded me that it’s okay to live any way I’d like to… and I’d like to remind you all to live authentically YOU as well.
Sometimes it just takes one photo or one essay or one video or even just one sentence to lift us, inspire us, and change our mood to help get us back on track. Life is a journey… and in the thick of it, it’s difficult to remember that even the rough moments have purpose.
