What I’m Wearing…
* Vintage Levi’s cut-offs… check out Levi’s Vintage Clothing for a few fun finds
* DIY Cut Out Large Pin Sweater… I still love this sweater so much.
* Asymmetric wedges by Alexander Wang
* Chanel boy bag
* Title: lyrics from Jane’s Addiction ‘Summertime Rolls’ because it so reminds of when I was wearing these shorts on the regular back in the ’90s.
These denim cut-offs are quite literally from my high school days… oh back in the good ole 1990s. I remember I found them pre-cut and already near-vintage at Claire’s Boutique, which I’m sure I’ve talked about here before and didn’t realize until much much later there was faded writing on the butt, along with a large heart -dead center. It’s barely noticeable now as it was then, but it makes me giggle {you can see it if you look really hard at the photo below}. And as high as the waist rises, and as unflattering as I still believe that to be, I’m pretty excited to be wearing them again, twenty years later and they still fit the same, lol. I remember my mom pulling out her old cutoffs she had saved from the ’70s when I was in high school, though I think they were super SUPER tight and in green and purple, but she had a sense of pride about them.
Though I must admit that I did swap the wedges for flats, because c’mon, lol, but I wouldn’t have if I was still down the mountain in LA… though you never know. I’m not a huge fan of heels with shorts. It always feels very ’80s prostitute to me, lol.
It should be noted that after the husband shot these photos and was walking behind me to the car, he stated, and I quote “your butt is so big [Levi’s tend to EXAGGERATE MY BACKSIDE] but good big, like just right, big…” Thanks Babe 😉
And lastly, this is the only way I want to wear my hair lately. Up. Messy. Easy. But this is from yesterday’s * DIY Gold Branch Hair Pins
Happy Hump Day Lovecats!
