I partnered with ASUS North America who asked me to share my “Perfect Tech Outfit” that transforms smoothly from day to night and immediately I thought of transformers. You know, robots: more than meets the eye… But this transformer is a full-featured notebook with a screen that detaches to become a tablet. How cools is that?!? But how does that relate to fashion, style, or the perfect tech outfit I wondered?
I thought about it long and hard… well, for about five minutes, before deciding that overalls were the perfect tech outfit -not only for their ability to hide tech gadgets seamlessly in their various pockets, but also because they’re having a big moment right now and because it’s summer, they are one of the easiest items to transform from daytime fun to a fab night out.
And like the Asus Transformer Book T100, a 2-in-1 ultraporotable laptop with 10 inch tablet that delivers 11 hours of usage with battery saving features to help you go from day to night, my overalls and basic white t-shirt transformed from day to night by simply adding a pair of fabulous heels, a jacket, and swapping a few accessories, delivering me eleven hours of usage as well.

Overalls For Day…
I love overalls for so many reasons, but first and foremost, they have to be flattering and there are so many that just aren’t. I love the look that’s a little fitted and not too baggy, but comfortable enough to wear all day long. This pair of Le Garcon Overalls are by FRAME denim and are a bit distressed which adds a casual look, and are just the right amount of fitted with just the right amount of stretch for a day and night of cute comfort.
Worn with a basic white t-shirt, I added cute and classic white sneakers by Superga, my white Rockie duffel bag by Alexander Wang, thick frames by Marc Jacobs Sunglasses, and a cute vintage scarf for a playful hairstyle.

Overalls For Night…
To make the biggest statement and the quickest change, I kept my overalls and t-shirt the same and simply swapped my sneakers for black strappy sandals, added a vintage black fitted/cropped jacket, exchanged my larger white handbag for a sleeker zippered wristlet, and changed out my accessories. In very little time, I transformed my playful overall daytime style into a sleek evening look perfect for summer nights out.
Overalls can be frumpy if you’re not careful, but finding the right fit and styling them for your body can make all the difference and transforming them from day to night is as simple as accessorizing.
