LOVECATS! THE TIME IS NOW!
Because of my upcoming move due to the upcoming sale of my house, it is now time to SELL ALL THE THINGS!
In all honesty, I’ve been meaning to do this FOR AGES! I’ve got two closets upstairs that have been filled with potential sale items for over a year now. SO I actually HAVE done a few main coset clean-outs but have not gotten to the sale part of it. Though I have been working on selling all of the exe’s stuff, It’s way more fun to sell my own stuff.
I did a poll on my Instagram stories last week asking what your favorite places to shop blogger’s closets were and the overwhelming response was Poshmark and Instagram. So that’s where I’m starting.
I have a personal Instagram account that I’ve never used @maegantintari where I’ve listed all my super high-end designer items for sale. I’ve never done this before, so bear with me if I’m a little slow. I guess you just DM me if you want it, I give you my paypal email dress and the deal is done? We’ll see how that goes.
I thought I’d list my mid-range designers and more affordable pieces on Poshmark and see how that goes as well. Again, I’m new at this so apologies in advance if I mess anything up, lol. It’s all a bit overwhelming and YES, I should have been doing this all along so that I didn’t have like 3 closets full of items to sell… BUT… what can you do?
I’m doing it now.
If you know anything about me, you know I take care of my wardrobe and much of what I’m selling is either brand new, never worn or worn only once or twice or maybe only worn for photos. My lifestyle has changed so much and I still have work clothes/biz attire that I used to wear to the art gallery hanging in my closet. I mean, I haven’t worn some of these items IN YEARS and many items still have the tags. I’ve purchased most of the items but over the years of blogging brands have also sent items that you may have also seen in photos or not. I’ve also changed sizes a little bit and many items don’t fit well anymore. Also, I rarely wear heels anymore (I know, it’s so sad) so instead of watching them collect dust in my closet, I’d rather have someone enjoying them all!
I generally hold onto vintage stuff, but if I have any I’m going to sell, I think eBay is the place for that simply because I’m not sure what to list vintage stuff at generally and then I can use the auction listings to let you guys kind of determine the price.
But for now, it’s Poshmark (find me here loveMaegan) and Instagram (find me here @maegantintari) – I think I’ll keep it private though – again, I’m not sure how that works.
I realized after creating 15 drafts on Poshmark (that’s all that they let me create -why?) and that they crop all the images into SQUARES. .. also WHY? So like, I posted dresses that you can’t see the bottom of and when I tried to go in and edit them, they wouldn’t allow new photos, lol SOOOOO I’ll work on that for future listings and just take square photos. Again, I’m new at this and my eyes are literally blurry from doing it all day long lol.
But for now, LET’S GO SHOPPING 🙂
I tried to be really fair with my pricing, though again, my Instagram items will be more expensive because they’re designers like Celine, Hermes, Miu Miu, Moschino, YSL, Alexander Wang, and more, as well as some of my fine jewelry, shoes, bags, etc…(I haven’t listed everything yet – there is still more so check back often) and I have more affordable designers items (and more clothes) on Poshmark like Calvin Klein, Ann Taylor, and not so well-known designers as well. I do have a pair of Burberry espadrille wedges listed and a Proenza Schouler wallet (never used) – so I’m just testing the waters on both apps to see which is easier (for me) lol.
I could only get so much listed as of now, so check back in frequently as I’ll be listing all week and maybe even after. I dunno. I have so much to sell and it’s pretty time consuming even when I think I’m being super speedy, hours have gone by… so, check back daily for more stuff!
Thank you guys for always being so supportive and following along my life journey for all these years. It’s kind of amazing knowing you’re all out there. Sometimes I feel so alone and then I’ll share one little thing on stories and get so much feedback and it’s really heartwarming… so thank you, from the bottom of my heart, thank you, love to you all.
