Lately my Sunday House Crushes fall more into the quaint and quirky far-more-affordable-Airbnb-possibility than the incredible lakeside mansions I was falling for last year… and maybe if I delve into it a little bit deeper, it will give me a bigger glimpse at where my head is at… but until then, I’ll just keep it superficial -because sometimes it’s just easier that way 😉
Mountain cabin on the outside, retro ’70s time capsule on the inside (with a dash of ’50s & ’60s thrown in for good measure), who wouldn’t want to spend a night or two in this funky little place? It’s really just about a minute or two from my house, because everything is closer than it seems up here, especially when you’re trying to map it out, though you would have to drive to the lake rather than walk to it from this location (just in case you were wondering).
It reminds me a little bit of my ’70s Barbie Dreamhouse (which my mom and niece still play with) and a little bit of the set of The Brady Bunch, with a hint of Gilligan’s Island and a dash of the first house I lived in, thanks to the blue shag carpet. I kind of wish the exterior matched the interior just a bit or at least was slightly leaning towards the same era, but I suppose that is always a possibility… It would be great if someone bought this and continued the theme, because FUN! Though it’s a bit small, the price is amazing and would really be such a fun Airbnb rental… AND A-frames are trending AF right now.
