That black widow is real. The husband killed it & left it’s guts on the wall to warn his friends lol.

I can’t wait to decorate the tables …which won’t happen until later & will most likely show up in a party post tomorrow but the tarnished silver in the second photo will be combined with vintage crystal glassware for a haunted mansion-ey tabletop in the dining room. We were pleasantly woken up this morning by the delivery of our new table …& I then I relaxed.

the costumes

The husband wanted to go as Tony Stark …rather, Iron Man-DJ {but the Tony costume is way easier} and I’m going as Black Widow, ScarJo’s character from Iron Man 2. No, it’s not super clever but I’m pretty sure I agreed to it for nothing more than to quench my husband’s fantasy of seeing me as a red head {and any other nerd/comic book fantasies that may be involved}. So I bought one of those cheap costume shop costumesand will accessorize to help it out a bit …as well as wear my red hair extensions I created last week, and hope for the best. I don’t have a gun though or a holster but I’m using one of LeRoy’s old harnesses as a leg harness which will at least give the look. Which is all that matters, right? Wish me luck 😉
