What I’m Wearing…
* Lee denim unionalls… also seen here… I also have them in army green and honestly, though I love living in these, I’m excited to explore my closet again once my office is done and give my wardrobe a reboot!

In my favorite denim coveralls AGAIN, but in this case, they had utility… although I didn’t actually want to get them dirty or get actual paint on them EVEN THOUGH they came pre-stained, I did, in fact work in them.
We’re in the thick of renovation right now on my new office space, and it feels like we’ve been at it for a month already and it’s only been two weeks! Technically, it’s been one week of really going hard but the floors took far longer than Chad anticipated… leave it to a contractor to underestimate time š I kid, I kid.
On this day, we had just returned one of the two sanders we had rented and used for not one, but THREE days because of course, the floors were in worse shape than we thought and we had to take the main room down to raw. We haven’t stained and finished them yet (saving that for the end), but they already look a million times better and I’m glad we did it.
Chad did most of the hard work with the big sanders and I did the details around the edges with the hand sander. Late Friday night we finally had everything cleaned up and prepped to paint the walls, which felt like a huge accomplishment.

This is how I feel about sanding… š I am not a fan, especially since we’re wearing masks all the time now.
This week we have a few setbacks because Chad’s got a ton of other work to do elsewhere and I can only do so much without him. I’ll probably paint the exterior after priming it last week and start prepping the hallway and back rooms to paint. I’ve I’ve also ordered ceiling tiles to cover the the popcorn in the main room and he’s going to redo the electrical when we’re ready to install… hopefully by the end of the week. I’d like to move in before the 15th
But in all this waiting, I’ve got very few distractions from the election and my nerves are shot. I’ve cleaned the house and done all the laundry and ran all the errands and snacked on all the things and still feel like my energy is at an ELEVEN and not in a fun way. I’m completely scattered and can barely type a full sentence right now. I voted early and can only hope for the best at this point.
