He duck twice to avoid it – It was funny to watch although the guy who threw his shoes seemed pretty serious. LOL

    I can’t sleep – it’s really late here 🙁

I just wondered why did it take 2 shoes to be thrown separately before Secret Service came out!

great photos…..love the poem. In retrospect, as he fades into the sunset, all we can wish is………..that it had been a bigger shoe.

On the shoe throwing: What I find most interesting is how slow his guards were to act. It was shoes the guy was throwing, yes.. But he had time to throw both of them.

Soth is a local Mpls boy – I’ve seen several of his exhibits ’round here and been floored by every single one of them.

Oh, and I could watch that video clip on an endless loop.

    the shoe video is hilarious…
1- great reflexes helped Bush not get slapped in the face with it
2- where was his Secret service at??….sleeping..eating?..took too long to stop the man
they must have been like he’s gone pretty soon.soo.whatever!! LOL

Oh my… the Austin Powers music was the icing on the cake. Maybe that was the problem… Bush is the real Austin Powers & stuck in the 1960s!

That was some of the best footage I’ve seen on the news lately. Definitely gave me a smile. I must commend W on his lightening-quick reflexes, though. Those things were killer missiles!
