I’m not exactly sure what I was searching for when this beautiful A-frame image popped up on my screen, but thinking it might be located in Lake Arrowhead, I clicked on it and it led me to the post A Modern A-Frame Cabin in Lake Tahoe, California on the Style Files wherein I learned that it was in Lake Tahoe and not Lake Arrowhead. Same/same I guess, minus a longer drive, the California mountain forests look very similar… and while I tend to turn away from so much wood and brown in houses (especially for full-time living), this one is really quite stunning. I love the darker tones and the rustic modern feel throughout. It’s tiny and it’s beautiful.
The house was originally found through designer Yana Prydalna of Quiet Space House conceptualized in 2020 as a weekend vacation spot in the woods for two using the maximum amount of wood to create a feeling of nature inside the cabin while using natural materials like thermo wood.
I don’t think I could live there full time, but it would be a pretty amazing second home for little getaways I suppose.
