What I’m Wearing…
* Silk drop waist dress by Karen Zambos Vintage Couture {remember when I interviewed Karen at her studio earlier this year? I had a little shopping spree after ;}
* Saddle Belt Bag c/o Hipsters for Sisters and I love it
* Vintage Hermes double wrap bracelet worn as a choker, House of Harlow 1960 ~ Pyramid Station Necklace, Tiffany&Co pendant necklace, and gold chain bracelet.
* Suede Belted Perry Boots in cognac by Sam Edelman
* Benedict Gold Aviator Sunglasses by Oliver Peoples Eyewear {which I stole from the husband}
* Title: lyrics from Fleetwood Mac – Rhiannon (live)… a song I love so much I’ve used for other titles as well | Wouldn’t you Love to Love Her
I’m kind of in love with this look. Here’s why: it’s a few different styles you wouldn’t immediately think would work together, but do. For instance, this dress is 1920’s inspired, with its drop waist and beaded front, and can be dressed up easily for a cocktail {or Gatsby :} party. But the handkerchief hem ads a fun little edginess to it. So I paired it with chunky suede boots, the hip bag {which gave it a nice and more flattering waist}, gold jewelry to add a bohemian vibe to it and aviators for an added edge… and I love the combo. I love mixing eras and styles and creating something fun and new.
This dress is surprisingly versatile actually… later that night I paired it with a camo military jacket and sneakers and it was a whole different kind of cute {which I’ll post next week}.
Happy Friday Lovecats!
Cheers to a fun and fabulous weekend!
