DIY Filling Glass Heart Ornaments with Eucalyptus + Strung

DIY filled ornaments-glass hearts-feature 2

Filling clear glass ornaments is nothing new, nor does it actually need a DIY tutorial. However, since they are so pretty, and since I strung them on rope and hung them as garland, I thought I’d share it anyway for a little inspiration.

What You’ll Need…

  • Clear glass ornaments. I used glass hearts I found at Michaels.
  • Dried and dyed Eucalyptus leaves
  • Rope/Scissors

Remove ornament hardware, cut your eucalyptus and carefully insert it into the ornament.

String rope through and tie a loose knot around each. Add a rope bow if you’d like more rope detail.

And… Voila!

Lovely idea! I think I would use something brighter in color because my house colors are much warmer so the contrast would be nice.

Brilliant! I believe I’ve seen eucalyptus at our local supermarket florist. Also, glittering them would be nice, too. I have a rosemary bush, so I just might try using rosemary sprigs, too. Thanks for inspiring us to “look around”, find and use nature in our clear ornaments!
