A casual sister to The Shelby Dress I designed last month, say hello to my latest creation with Trunkist, KATE… A light-weight seersucker, full-functioning button-up day dress with spaghetti straps and a cute cut-out in the back complete with a flirty flared skirt that is flattering on any BODY and perfect for day or night!
I’ve paired it with a light denim button down shirt and sneakers here, but it’s also cute with platforms, heels, wedges, and even boots! It’s a bit more wearable than The Shelby Dress and definitely flattering on any-BODY.
The loose fit through the bodice and open back is so nice in the summer heat, letting a bit of a breeze through it… and the straps are adjustable too. I was hoping they’d conceal a bra, but not quite. I chose a white bra, but I’m wondering if a flesh-tone would have been better. I can’t tell, but I don’t mind it showing a bit at all. In retrospect, I think maybe an even more obvious bra choice would be cute as well.

The sun was coming in and out of the clouds while we were shooting, thus the discrepancy in the photo consistency – though in some shots it made me look REALLY TAN -which is OF COURSE-appreciated, AND it reads a bit more blue in the photos when in real life, it’s much grayer.
I’M SO EXCITED… AND I JUST CAN’T HIDE IT!
