OMG Lovecats! I can’t believe I haven’t shared here since May! I swear I thought I was here in June, but alas, I was not. HOWEVER, if you ARE interested in watching me BLAB about my life and see what’s actually going on in the day to day, go to my Substack and watch my twice-weekly (bi-weekly?) vlog Come As You Are episodes, where I literally show up as I am, not filtered in any way, rarely even in any makeup, sometimes hair brushed, mostly – not so much – and stay for my unedited chats where I fidget with my hair a LOT (sorry 😬) in between sharing what’s going on in my life (mostly house hunting, insane relationship troubles and trauma healing, and so much more (insanity 😜) and randomness), I hopefully share bits and pieces of uplifting info, advice and little takeaways for you OR even just a bit of entertainment to brighten your day 🌻 .
I post Thursdays and Sundays and sometimes write posts in between, but mostly it’s videos/vlogs at the moment (as much as I swore I’d never do it in the beginning), I feel like I’ve found my voice and it’s so much easier (and quicker and more raw than writing) and I kind of really like it. It is a mostly via paid subscription only so that I can truly be myself and not feel the need to censor anything while I’m truly feeling ultra-vulnerable in most cases. I HAVE been thinking about expanding to YouTube (again) but in a much more censored and less personal way, but I’m not quite ready for that just yet.
The selfie of me above is from a house I looked at and refer to as “Dead Lady’s House” in my vlogs. Coming soon (there) I’ll share photos and/or videos of all the houses I’ve looked at and were potential possibilities but fell through…
A N Y W A Y… Here are my June Outfits, or at least some of them and in all honesty, you’ve probably seen most of these dresses or items in previous posts because I’ve gotten so lazy getting dressed up here in Lake Arrowhead, that I just wear the same thing all the time, but hopefully somehow they seem new, with new shoe options maybe? I dunno… enjoy.
I’ll list items, similar items, links and shopping widgets beneath each look in case you’re interested.

Also ALSO… this whole thing about GEN Z knowing we’re old because we wear ankle socks I DON’T CARE! Lol. As cute as 20-somethings look with their little crew socks and their tennis shoes or sneakers, I’m not sure it translates so well to us older generations (GEN X 👋) SO, as old as my ankle socks are making me look, I’m pretty sure the wrinkles on my face are doing the job as well 😂
I probably wear this black cut-out romper (or one of the 5 colors I have) at least once a week. It’s so easy to pull on and go and looks pretty cute with any shoes. I generally wear sneakers but crocs are my second favorite option and lately it’s been SO HOT that sandals are even making the cut. It’s a few years old now, from Hollister, but I’ve linked a bunch of cute options below… they have a cute long pants version right now!
Same romper with checkered Vans above and Crocs below. I actually haven’t been grabbing my Vans as much this year as I normally would. I opt for my adidas or pumas most often this year.
This is one of my favorite throw-on-and-go rompers because it’s a bit oversized and so comfy on these super hot days. I’ve worn it a million times and even roller skated in it a few times and I’m not ready to give up on it just yet. Also, I bought this one a size too big and LOVE how it’s a bit looser than it should be. It has a tie around the waist that sometimes I tie in the front or the back and it just always feels light and easy breezy for summer.
Camo pants from DL1961 (still faves) though so many of my pants are cropped and now I’m wanting longer versions of everything… I’ve had these for years and they’re so comfy. (see them here and here) with my I’M GONNA WIN t-shirt from Phenomenal Woman – SEEN HERE back in 2019 with the girls 😢
Even when I opt for NOT A DRESS, I’m still super boring lately. Maybe it’s summer, but I blame the mountain. I’m just over it. A part of me feels like I’m living in a past version of myself and am so looking forward to actually styling outfits again… although we’ll see what actually happens. Maybe I just have high hopes but have become overly lazy in the last few years 😜
Free People barrel jeans (my current faves, though it took me a few months to actually start wearing them) / grey tee (would also be cute with a tank) – also I tend to wear more fitted tops when my pants are baggy and vice-versa. / faux snakeskin slides by FREEDOM MOSES (also seen here with a summer dress for the pool)
I love this simple LBD I think I found at Target years ago. I have a few favorite little black dresses, but I grab this one every single summer. The fit and flare look is flattering no matter how I’m feeling about my body at the moment and looks cute with slides or sandals or sneakers, as I mostly wear with my dresses (or crocs). And I always get compliments when I wear it. I think when you feel feminine and good about yourself, the confidence shows and then people assume it’s the outfit or the dress and in a way, it is! Because you feel so good about yourself when you’re wearing it that you exude happiness and then people often say I LOVE YOUR DRESS! 😊
It’s not entirely empire waist, though it sits higher than my actual waist. I swear the cut of this dress is surprisingly flattering. I wore it with my adidas superstars (and I know they’re not the ON TREND adidas at the moment) but I don’t care, they’re a classic).
I wore this to the last open house I went to a few weeks ago and felt very summery and feminine in it 😊
I swear, the repeat outfits match the energy since COVID, like WHERE HAVE THE YEARS GONE?!?!?
My newest color of Lee Union-Alls (a new fave!) is a coral/peach, (Poppy) in a stretchier, lighter-weight fabric – See all my Lee Union-all posts here! I wear a Medium so they’re a little baggier (I’ve included other brands in the shopping widget below) / Puma sneakers from a few years ago
I’ve had this vintage Green paisley shirtdress for a hundred million years and STILL LOVE IT. It’s from the ’70s and I know this not only by the style but by the thick polyester fabric that is way too hot for the heat wave we’re having right now. However, I wore it early June, so it passed jUST BARELY! I adore it. It has a belt somewhere, but I love it just as a straight shift/shirt dress. I’ve had it for over 20 years and I’m sure you’ve seen it styled here before but with heels back in my gallery days…. worn with my adidas superstars
The dress I wore to the Barbie movie last year, is still in the rotation this year.
Okay.. that’s all 😊
Happy Summer Lovecats!
