What I’m Wearing
* Paillette-embellished skirt is a random Victoria’s Secret sale find. I bought it BECAUSE it was $20 and wore it once here last Summer {though it’s a little big, everything at VS runs a little big}
* Royal blue tank is from Forever 21, ages ago. I got it the same time I got the yellow one I wore last week actually.
* Vintage blazer with beaded lapels {which I wear rather often}
* Gray cuff is from Tuleste Market, and a gift from Julie and the large cocktail ring on my right hand is by Kenneth Jay Lane among other stacking pyramid rings from Noir.
* Cynthia Rowley black tights
* Vintage Sunglasses and chain necklace.
* Miu Miu ankle boots

While browsing Net-a-Porter last week, I stumbled on this outfit… and then realized I had everything in my closet to recreate it. So I did. For far less.
Here’s the breakdown:
* DKNY Skirt: $275 {my skirt: $20}
* Kain blue tank: $155 {my top: $9.99}
* Falke black tights: $59 {my tights: $23}
* Shoes are unlisted {mine: $300}
* Even without including the shoes, mine is less.
And YES, I’ve totally mocked this trend of wearing coats over shoulders, but I had to make an exception here just to mimic the look of the outfit. Please note, I still find it ridiculously and completely impractical. I have big shoulders yet ANY time I moved my arms the jacket slipped off. Just sayin’ 😉
