We all go through phases of feeling great and feeling horrible… it’s normal, it’s human nature. But what if we didn’t have to? What if every day was amazing – No . Matter. What?
What if every day mattered and each day we wake up with a smile and go to sleep at the end of the day with a smile?
I think it’s entirely possible to live a life like this, a life we LOVE, and I think it starts in our minds.
If we choose to live a deliberate life, knowing that we’re creating our moments, we can respond positively to life’s uncertainties rather than react to life’s chaos.
This is something I’m working on… not once a week or once a month or once in a while. I work on this Every. Day.
Because when you want something, you work until you get it.
Because when you have a goal, you break down the steps it’s going to take to accomplish that goal. And then you get to work, chiseling a little bit out every single day.
Because you don’t become an expert overnight or with one class or with one thought. You decide and then you take action. And you do it every . single . day .
It becomes part of your life… even when you think you don’t have any time for it, you do. There is always time for what you want.
Notice how you make time to stare at Instagram.
Notice how you make time to stare at your television.
Notice all the time wasted procrastinating.
Think about what you could be doing in those moments, minutes, hours to develop a new skill, to learn something new, to make something, to create something, to clear your mind, to do something to better someone else’s life… you can do anything. You can have anything. You just need to want it bad enough, and then you need to do a little bit toward making it happen every . single . day .
There are so many free motivational options at our fingertips these days, there are no more excuses. No more complaints. We are limited only to our beliefs of what we are capable of. And it’s extremely exciting, inspiring, confidence-building, EMPOWERING when we do something that we afraid of or accomplish something that we didn’t think was possible or become the person we’ve always wanted to be.
Start small. Make a decision. Think about one thing you can do that will get you closer to fulfilling your dreams. And start today. And then do it EVERY . SINGLE . DAY .
It’s as easy or as hard as you make it…
Gratitude: Take 30 minutes to walk outside without your phone and thank the world around you and feel the joy from your toes to the top of your head.. .then try NOT to smile and feel like the luckiest person alive.
Clear out your Mind: Take 10 or 20 minutes to sit quietly and watch your thoughts. Notice each thought and then let it go. Listen to a guided meditation (it’s far easier and there are free options all over youtube. Just keep looking and listening until you find one that suits you)
Read a book, Listen to positive, motivational videos or podcasts in your free time… while you’re sitting in traffic.
Challenge yourself to do something DIFFERENT today. Do something that scares you. Do a little bit of something every day until it’s a habit. Until you don’t have to think about it. Until you don’t have to make an excuse not to do because you KNOW it’s the thing that’s changing your life… little by little. every . single . day.
Know that it’s not easy for anyone. But the ones who do it, are the ones who are living the life they love. Why hate on those people when you can be that person… Every . Single . Day.
