Rustic Christmas and Holiday Decorating Ideas

I started decorating for Christmas over the weekend, as many of you probably did too… because I just can’t do it until after Thanksgiving… and was pleasantly surprised at how much fun I had.

Since this is the first holiday season I’ll be spending alone, I have to admit that I dreaded it a little bit thinking it would be wildly depressing and possibly end in tears. But I actually had fun rearranging the house and decorating for the holidays and making it feel all my own. My brother helped me put up the tree on Thanksgiving, and I think that was a great boost that got me excited to do it.

As I was perusing Instagram the other night, I came upon Whimsy Girl Design and loved her aesthetic. Her home is more rustic than mine is, but I definitely pulled a little inspiration from her. You can also check out her blog for more Rustic Christmas and Holiday Decorating Ideas… but in the meantime, how gorgeous is her home?
