The Palm Springs Art Museum

Last Tuesday, the husband and I braved the 122 degree heat and ventured out into the Coachella Valley and landed upon the Palm Springs Art Museum and were happily greeted with a burst of frigid air and smiling faces as we walked through the doors. What a gorgeous space this museum is. There are four levels of amazing works of art, sculptures, digital installations, and an audio/visual blown glass exhibition that was beautiful but admittedly evoked a strange feeling while experiencing it. The museum, on a whole, was so relaxing to walk through. One of my favorite galleries was near the front filled with works by Van Gogh, Thiebaud, Joan Mitchell, Rothko and so many more but didn’t allow photos. I can only imagine the works in that particular area were the most expensive and that was the reasoning? Nevertheless, we wandered around the quiet but vast space for at least an hour pointing and oohing and awing and trying to guess the artists of the works without sounding like snobby-smug-art-snobs, though I’m not sure we succeeded 😉

…and what I wore, of course…
