I was so excited to partner with MyPublisher to make a photo book of our boys because commemorating Trevor and Randy’s first year with us was an absolute MUST! In this era of on-hand cameras, we’ve been able to capture so many precious moments in time with our boys that we didn’t really get with our other pets, and I just adore being able to look back through and smile as we relive those moments. Instead of endlessly scrolling through our phones, now we have a beautiful photo book right on our coffee table to look through and remember just how teeny tiny and ridiculously CUTE our big boys were.
From iPhone snapshots of the puppies with their mama sent to us from our breeder just a week after they were born, to our own iPhone pics as well as more professional photos using my Nikon DSLR of them growing every day, we have hundreds, if not thousands of photos to choose from, and no matter the format or quality, I included all my favorites, and the photo book turned out GORGEOUS!
MyPublisher makes it REALLY simple to create a quality, premium and professional-looking book right at your desk in just a few hours. I downloaded the free, and super easy-to-use software with add-on options and photo book accessories, opened it up, dragged the photo albums I wanted to include and then followed the steps to making each page unique. I added text to some pages but most were just photos, and if you organize your photos first by number you can choose to let the program auto populate the pages for you {which I actually did} and then I went through and customized each from there. It felt a little easier than building each page on my own from nothing, but either option is available.
If you notice the photo above, which is a screencap of my final book in the program, it looks identical to the one I received in the mail just days later.
There are four different size books you can choose from, and plenty of color options and expert design layouts, which make it really easy to decide how you want your book to look. I chose the Classic Premium Matte, classic Super Gloss, premium End Sheets in Blue Marble and the “Lay Flat” option, which is an extra $25 but so worth it so the pages lay nicely and you don’t lose any of the photo in the center crease. It’s not necessary, but it’s such a nice add-on.
There are also different display options like linen covers, leather covers, book jackets, photo windows, presentation boxes, slipcases and so many more to meet all of your personal style preferences. I wanted mine pretty simple, and I have to be honest that I chose my cover photo in blue hues to match my living room, where my book will be sitting on our coffee table forevermore.
