27 Schoolbook Clutches for a POP of Intellectual Whimsy

It may have been Natalie Portman carrying her ‘Lolita’ clutch on the red carpet and Clémence Poésy attending the Harry Potter premiere holding a ‘La Belle et la Bête‘ book bag, both by designer Olympia Le-Tan back in 2010 that sparked this cute schoolbook turned clutch trend, but I think it’s just heating up now. However, buying an Olympia Le-Tan original, at $1711 a pop, will likely leave you homeless. But alas, I have found tons of schoolbook clutches made from real books, often with cool vintage bindings, that are budget friendly, unique, make perfect gifts, or give your party look a pop of intellectual whimsy.
