Completely Gratuitous Outfit with Scrunch Socks

. . .what I wanted to wear. . .

My post on scrunch socks the other day inspired this 😉

my cousin and I in high school
{love, eric socks were the ONLY socks we wore in high school with our uniforms …and really, I don’t know why}

…and Japanese schoolgirl {found here}

But I was too chicken …so what I ACTUALLY wore was this

bor-ing …but probably much more appropriate.

What I’m Wearing
Vintage wool blazer
Urban Outfitters sequin pins
Black v-neck puff sleeve T: Forever 21
Skirt: Forever 21
Tights: Old
Heels: NANA
Black Pashmina
Earrings: Dark silver with black crystal hoops

    Um, M, I work in the most boring environment and even I would wear the slouchy socks. Totally cute. Totally work appropriate (IMO) with the rest of the outfit). And you do work in an art gallery. In California! Give it a go next week. I think it’s adorable.

    March 10, 2009 |

    Ah! Fun post!
    I like the look of scrunch socks + short skirt but I would put flat shoes instead of heels.

    March 10, 2009 |

    to be honest, i wasn’t a fan of the socks with that outfit. it would be cool, but it would have to be the perfect outfit for them and I don’t think that was it. I prefer the final with the tights.

    March 10, 2009 |

    I love both looks on you (especially that blazer, raaar!) but I have to say you pulled off those socks in fine style. I understand though, I chicken out a lot when it comes to fashion in the work place and when I don’t, I become known as “crazy tights lady” – just cuz I wore crazy tights ONE time. Sheesh 🙂

  • daynacupcake

    March 10, 2009 |

    I love socks & heels together. they look so comfy & cute together. but I do like the black tights with your black heels you chose to wear anyway… still mucho cuteness!!! xo

  • Diane

    March 11, 2009 |

    Well I do like the way the socks look, and it can be trend setting, but the black stockings are very sexy and chic, good call (:
