Sock Trends 2024 - How to wear socks now - red socks with loafers

Since socks are having a major comeback, after years and years of ankle socks only, I thought I’d share a little fashion inspiration on how to wear them NOW.

I have to say that I’m LOVING the scrunch sock trend… although I haven’t entirely adopted it into my own style yet – aside from around the house – the look reminds me of the late ’80s and ’90s when in our Catholic school uniforms, scrunch socks were the ONLY socks we wore.

I talked about it in THIS POST years ago, but I always loved how thick socks made my legs look…like a bit more proportioned. When the bottom/calf area has more thickness around it, it makes the top half/thighs look smaller, and that was a win for me back then 🤣

Now, however, I’m so used to ankle socks or no socks that having thick socks feels awkward, but the more I try it, and the more I see it, the more used to it I get. It’s giving ‘90s Princess Diana, and I’m here for that.

Anyway, here are a TON of mix and match socks and shoes for a little style inspo if you’re seeing the sock trend but not sure how to incorporate it into your looks.

But first…

I don’t think I’ll be able to give up the no-sock-sneaker-with-dresses look, because I still ADORE IT! I also have these Pumas (because everyone jumped on the Adidas version) and adore them too!

Now that we have that out of the way… here we gooooooo!
