My mom was crowned Miss North Hollywood in 1974-75 and made it to the top ten in Miss California as well. She wasn’t necessarily a pageant girl but said her friends pushed her to go for it and by chance she won. She didn’t pursue any other pageants and soon after {if not prior} met my dad, got married and had me by the time she was 22 in June of 1976.
While I’m pretty sure she knew she would have children and that she is extremely happy she did {thanks mom!} I often wonder if she hadn’t had my brother and I would her life have turned out any differently?

The framed print that hung in my grandma’s hallway until she moved and gave it to my mom… my mom then gave it to me. I haven’t hung it yet though…
