I stumbled upon this listing and found my jaw dropping at each consecutive click to the next photo, because I’ve never seen anything like this house up here (in Lake Arrowhead). It just sort of seems out of place among all the very cabin style mountain homes -though it is trying to keep a mountain vibe, and I love this kind of thing. My only thought was that it had to have been built in the ’70s and originally designed and decorated then, and while newer owners have seemingly tried to keep the consistency of the original design, it doesn’t quite fit the bill.
And then I read the listing and realized that this house once belonged to (and most probably built by – but that’s just a guess) Liberace, which then made total sense as to why the architecture looked the way it did — and then visualizing it when Liberace actually lived there in all of its extravagance made me love it even more.
I would only hope that whomever purchases this home would keep all the original Liberace details and even expand upon it and truly turn it back into its original glory, because this house is so special. It’s just got so much potential and needs to be restored… A kitchen like this doesn’t work with a rooster mat on the floor, you know what I mean? I NEEDS the perfect owner to make it perfect again because right now, it’s a little confused 😉 BUT IT’S SO FUN!!!
