I first was introduced to Tom Ford in 1995 when he took over the women’s ready-to-wear division at Gucci. Those slick satin blouses and velvet pants stuck out to me in every magazine I picked up. I loved everything about it. I also happened to be in fashion school at the time {or in school for fashion}. It was a modern twist on 70’s Halston which I adored.
It’s funny that in a time that reminds us so much of the 90’s as far as fashion and uh, the recession, that the 70’s {while always classic} makes another huge comeback.
