I’m trying to decide between paper/snail mail moving announcements or the more eco/modern version, email. Either way, these above are a few of my faves. I think I like the first and last the best. They’re all from etsy.

All of the cards are nice, would be tough to pick. Is cool that you are thinking about using ones from Esty from an independent artist.
It would probably depend on who you are notifying as to whether to use snail mail or electronic card. Snail mail would be more conform to conventional etiquette – people who are more formal, less techie or keep scrapbooks that they might want to put the card inot would appreciate this option.
However, techies and “green” recipients might be either think it is too old-fashioned and or environmentally irresponsible and would expect to be notified electrontically.

I like the first two the best. Also, I’m a huge fan of snail mail. Email seems so impersonal. I love getting the mail and seeing a handwritten letter/note addressed to me. It’s so much fun!
Gmr
I like the second one, but I think is more eco, fast, and cheaper to send a mail!
XOXO

I love this idea – those cards are so cute. When I read the post, I considered to myself as well whether it wouldn’t be better to just update people electronically, but then I thought of people like my mother, who doesn’t have the internet, and basically asks for my address every time she calls. A little card for her to put on the fridge and look pretty would be so much handier!
Mich
omg this is such a great idea! and those cards are adorable!!!

Go with e-mail. Snail mail is only for those special few who will visit you bearing wine.

The first two are my favourites! It is a nice gesture, to send cards instead of emails/text messages. I should do it more often, too…

You could still utilize the same concept through an email template design. Not as fun as getting wrapped goodness in the mail, of course. LOVING the second one.

Hanako66
they are super cool…i love the idea of mailing them!
Christina
There’s something awesome about paper announcements, and those ones are fantastic.
But… if you email your new address, people can search their email… versus searching their recycling bins.

Those social circle moving cards are brilliant!
