What I’m Wearing…
* Vintage white/black dotted blouse under a navy zip front sweater by CAbi {I love the way it zips open in the front & you can wear it open or closed}
* Pajama print pants by Mossee {the back is stretch and solid black – they are the perfect work pant!}
* White+gold statement necklace from Target
* Black crocodile dome bag by Brahmin
* Black snakeskin pumps by alice + olivia
* Tortoiseshell sunglasses by Stella McCartney
* Lips: Sonia Kashuk “Classic Red”
I’m enjoying this “What Should I Wear For…” series, though I’ve just begun, it gives me a little more motivation to get creative in my closet where I may not have the opportunity to so much anymore since I work from home. And if I wasn’t such a homebody, I’d accept one of the ten or so invites to be social I get in my inbox on a daily basis. But alas, I am what I am 😉
Though this ensemble is a little basic for my taste, it makes the perfect outfit for a work lunch, or depending on the position, a great interview outfit as well. It’s pulled together with a hint of preppy, but shows personality through my chosen accessories and creativity via the print mixing –without being distracting or over the top. It’s simply a handful of not-so-basic basics pulled together, and a look that anyone can pull off… so get creative with your basics and add your own personality to your everyday separates.

Happy Hump Day Lovecats!

Hi Maegan,
I have a quick question for you. My husband just got hired at Pepperdine and I am moving to the Malibu area from Ohio in a few weeks. Can you recommend any affordable apartments in the Calabasas, Woodland Hills or Santa Monica area? I have been looking and am overwhelmed. You are the only person I “know” from the area, hahaha. I would appreciate any help.
Thanks,
Kate

I think this is one of my absolute favorites of your outfits over the years. It’s a pretty close match to my own style–basics with a touch of vintage flair. Well done, Maegan!
