A Few New Things Around the House // Old House

gun vase with wilted rose

Just a few new things around the house that I’m loving. My Suck UK 1 Gun Ceramic Wall Vase has become a current obsession …mainly trying to keep a fresh flower in. Though I don’t really mind the wilted garden rose that you see in it now. It’s almost like the gun killed it, lol, and I like irony.

. . . & for a bit more perspective, it’s hanging between the two windows in our dining room.

Tony Fitzpatrick etching King Penny Poker+art

And on the wall directly across from it I hung this little Tony Fitzpatrick etching which was part of my 2008 holiday bonus. It’s been sitting in our guest room wrapped up just waiting for a wall of its own and a few weeks ago I realized this one was perfect for it.

living room nook oto chair orange

My Oto chair isn’t really new {as I mentioned it here} however I do love this silly little nook which frames our living room and helps create a little entry-way to the game room. I also just realized I’ve never done a full before/after on our living room. I guess it just never seems “finished” to me.

purple flowers in vintage crystal pitcher

I’m really into vintage crystal lately …& I love it mixed with modern.

Penelope pink hippo succulent planter

And last but CERTAINLY NOT LEAST {in fact, maybe my favorite new thing} is Penelope {or PEENalope in our house} …my little pink hippo succulent was just delivered the other day from Plaid Pigeon. And now that it looks like all their inventory is sold out, I’m sad I didn’t buy 5 more of these little guys in different species and colors. I just love her. {see some of their inventory on Facebook}

Happy Monday!
