* Title: lyrics from Mike & The Mechanics – All I Need Is A Miracle
Just a casual outfit I threw on to grab an early Sushi dinner with the husband over the weekend. Or maybe it was Friday? It’s a bit of a blur now because I was home Friday instead of at the art gallery. Home because we closed early for “Carmageddon” {which was actually a total joke but since everyone in LA stayed in this weekend, the streets were clear as a holi-day. It was amazing. I say LA does “Carmageddon” every weekend ;} …but home also because I have finally finally made the decision to start my slow departure from the gallery. I’ve cut back from 3 days to 2 and am hoping to say goodbye for good by the end of the year.
It’s a really exciting decision actually, one I’ve been putting off for months now, one that I thought would be quite easy considering my road rage when getting to said gallery, and as I’ve mentioned before, is a bit more emotional than I had anticipated. Even though my little blogging business is 100% successful and I’ve secured new positions with the wonderful BlogHer family, as well as other partnerships blah blah blah, etc., etc., etc., it’s a BIG change from the security of the art gallery which I’ve worked at for almost eleven years now.
But what is life without risk? What is life without change? And change is always good. And I’m ready for new adventures and new possibilities that maybe I’ve been afraid to embrace for the past few years. I mean, this was the goal when I started blogging, but now that I’m here {4+ years later} it’s a little scarier than I thought. But I’m totally ready 🙂
* And Thanks to all of YOU, my lovely readers, for your support and virtual friendships from the beginning and throughout. I couldn’t have done it without you 😉 …and looking forward to meeting you at BlogHer 11 in a few weeks! {my first blog conference, eeeek!}
