I found these fun aztec printed pants at GILT about a month ago and love the fit so much, I could wear them everywhere, with anything. I actually surprised myself when I settled on this fun vintage tank top {which zips up the back}… it’s a bit unexpected, but I think it somehow works. The various shades of turquoise, right down to my minty green toes, added a subtle pop of color and texture. These are some of my favorite styles for pants… I love that a looser, wider, baggier pant is making the rounds again. The first time I wore them was around 1995, when Gwen Stefani rocked the low-slung men’s trousers with the tiny short crop tops. I was 18 or 19 at the time & about 10lbs thinner than usual. I’d find amazing men’s trousers at thrift shops and little boys t-shirts to mimic the look. Now in my 30’s, I won’t be showing any more midriff than you see here, but will definitely be stocking up on more loose-fitted pants again.

Shopbop has a few great pairs right now with fun prints. I love these Elie Tahari Winona Pants and these pretty purple floral Richard Chai Love trousers and I’m kind of DYING for these Preen black and white contrast boy pants even though they are about $1000 out of my price range… maybe a DIY is the answer to those 😉

Happy Monday!
