As unfortunate as it is that I can’t have my double lamps on my console table behind my sofa in my living room, I’m making up for it in my new home office. Using the same Ikea 3-drawer dressers that my husband and I bought for our first master bedroom together back in 2004 {because it’s really all we could afford}, and then in my last home office, these $75 dollar dressers create a nice clean modern line when smashed up against each other and they’ve made the cut yet again. I have my grandma’s vintage Campodimonte Italian lamps from the 40’s, which I finally got to pull out of my mom’s storage a few years ago, washed and purchased new black shades to use in my last office. And now, they will create the lines of a vanity of sorts in a new dressing area of my office, just outside my closet. But clearly, this space is not finished yet. I need a large mirror to complete the look and and with the help of you and Lamps Plus, I can make this area come to life.
My inspiration for this room, similar to my last office but hopefully more dramatic, is Modern {because Ikea makes it so affordable and functional} mixed with Vintage & a little DIY, old Hollywood glamour and thanks to my grandma, hints of antique Italian decor mixed in between. It’s an eclectic mix of all things feminine, all thing “me” and the one room of the house which I have no problem at all decorating completely over the top glam, because it is all mine.
So here are the mirrors I think will work best for the area but I can’t decide which to choose. My initial thought was a sunburst because I just love the way they look between two lamps. However, this area is more antique Italian than old Hollywood glam so I’m thinking one of the others with the ornate gold frames with a more vanity-esque feel, will be much more appropriate for this area. I think I’ve made up my mind, but haven’t made any purchases yet.
