If I Could Buy ANY Home in LA, This Would Be IT

But since it is NOT for sale, but it IS available for weekly holidays via One Fine Stay, I’m going stay in it for a few days and fantasize about how it would feel to exist in its modern 1920’s Spanish Revival elegance – among what looks to be an original Jackson Pollock painting.

LOOK AT THOSE STAIRS!!! THAT FIREPLACE!!! THE WINDOWS!!!

After a super-fun 4th of July weekend spent with friends and family, I fell ill on Monday afternoon/evening, with what I can only describe as CHOLERA – and will blame my oh-so-lovely-and-not-at-all-bratty-germ-carrying-five-year-old-niece Delilah who happens to get me sick every time she visits… grrrrr, kids.

By day three of said intestinal uproar, I literally thought I was dying… but I generally think I’m dying whenever I get wretchedly ill, so that, unfortunately, is normal -oh my poor, poor, husband.

Stuck in bed until Thursday evening, when I was finally strong enough again to make a piece of toast, and standing in my open living room and kitchen for the first time in a week, starving and waiting for said toast, I realized I had suffered a bit of cabin fever. And as soon as my fingers had the strength to type again, I was searching for hotels and holiday rentals for a little LA stay-cay/vacay all on my own.

I started at airbnb and since I’ve never used the popular vacay rental site {which I strangely enough heard was also good for arranging orgies, WHAT?}, I quickly wondered why anyone would choose to stay in someone’s home when they could have room service delivered ’round the clock in a hotel suite. So instead I just googled rentals in LA and randomly happened upon a site called One Fine Stay.

HOW CUTE IS THAT NAME!?!?

As I landed on the Zwebell House home page, my jaw literally dropped and as I used it to scroll through the photos, I began drooling on my laptop and wondering when I could move in.

I HAVE DIED AN GONE TO MY DREAM HOME HEAVEN…

Description…

Reviving Glory Steps away from Sunset Boulevard’s Chateau Marmont, Laugh Factory and The Viper Room, you’ll find the glamour of another era preserved in the heavy wooden beams of Zwebell House. A 1920s Spanish Revival home, inside is all rich carvings, soft velvet and stately iron railings, and outside there’s a shared courtyard – an elaborately tiled fountain bordered by citrus trees. Let the curved brick walls of the formal dining room frame bountiful dinners – which you might source locally at the farmers’ market – or stretch out on the living room’s tufted blue armchairs, where a magnificent fireplace holds sway.

One Fine Stay is BRIMMING with exceptional homes from London to LA, and while I almost chose a beachfront property, this house just called my name. I’d love to visit all the Los Angeles homes, because how fun would that be!??! And hopefully one day, make it to London 😉

So I’ve booked a short stay-cation just for myself in September, and I AM ALREADY COUNTING DOWN THE DAYS JUST TO SEE IT! I’m dying to take a MILLION photos and can’t wait to share!

Find One Fine Stay on Instagram too. I’m so excited I found it!
