…make sure to stitch along seam of top so you can remove it if you want to
…also don’t stitch on top of the gather stitch.
…trim any area you don’t like …this material will not fray.

…Voila!

I usually wear triangle tops but decided to try something new {bikini is from Victoria’s Secret} …but when I got it, I didn’t love the way it looked. I can’t put my finger on it but I think it’s something my cousin would call “marmi” …lol.

The old bottoms I cut up have actually never been worn even though I’ve probably had them since 2004 …didn’t like the way they looked. So technically, the material was brand new. I would have loved the ruffles to be a different color like purple or peach but the only suit I was willing to cut up was black.

I’m pretty sure there is enough material to ruffle the front of a pair of bottoms but the ones I wear with this top {seen above} are resizable …more of an 80’s style …so I can’t stitch anything to them ….but it would be super cute on a pair of classic bottoms or string bikini. I love the way the top turned out. I’m definitely wearing it on the 4th. Fun!
