Hawaiian Bread!
* My Easy Recipe since a few of you asked . . . beat 2 large eggs with a splash of milk {or milk-like substance} as if you’re making scrambled eggs – for 4 pieces of French Toast. I use a non-stick pan so I don’t need to grease it, QUICKLY lay one side of your bread in the egg mix then flop to the other side, making sure all areas of bread are covered but NOT SOGGY, don’t let that bread sit in there! Then into your pan for a few minutes {I just eyeball it, depending on how dark or light I want it} then FLIP to the other side, remove and place on a plate and IMMEDIATELY add butter and sprinkle powdered sugar while the butter has just melted . . . that’s how I do it.
…he likes a little powdered sugar and a little syrup.

…I like a ton of butter and so much powdered sugar sprinkled ever so slowly that it creates an icing of yummy goodness.

I usually bake some bacon up with it for a little fatty protein …it’s a Sunday Funday breakfast.

i prefer mine with a ton of butter and a thick coating of powdered sugar too. all pasty and tasty. (i also prefer to eat it with a black shirt on so the powdered sugar makes the ultimate mess on my clothes.)

Maegan, I’m someone who has ZERO cooking skills — even something as “basic” as French toast — but you’re inspiring me to channel my inner domestic diva. Can you post your recipe for the French toast from scratch please??
Noemi
Oh my I so agree now you’ve gone and done its back to the grocery store 🙂
Thanks for stopping by the other day and your sweet comment!

My mouth is watering! Having real syrup also helps. Nothing out of a plastic bottle.

I have been eating King’s Hawaiian Sweet Rolls since high school, but had NO IDEA they made sliced bread. Charleston needs to hop on this band wagon and carry it in our grocery stores!
