This is Rebecca. Rebecca is a yoga instructor and trainer and travels all over the world following a path of peace and harmony, creating love and spreading joy to all those she encounters. She lives a life you only see in movies, you only read in books, and only dream about in your deepest sleep.
I went to high school with Rebecca, but if memory serves me correctly, we had actually met a few years prior at Cotillion Class and as cheerleaders at competing grade schools. But as cheerleaders in high school together, we became friends… and both being of the strongest two girls on the squad, we were always the base of the pyramid, for lack of better word, and with a foot in our hands, raised high up in the air, we faced each other smiling and belting out cheers. As an amazing yoga practicer, instructor, and trainer now, Rebecca continues to hold people up, in more ways than one.
Each time Rebecca posts a new photo on Facebook, I’m completely drawn into her extraordinarily dreamy life, so I thought I’d share a little bit of it here with you.
I grabbed these photos from her Facebook page, Rebecca Kovacs, but many are from her recent 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Course in Costa Rica. When Rebecca is back home in LA, she teaches at Black Dog Yoga in Sherman Oaks and is regularly at Avalon Yoga in San Jose, CA when not traveling.
Rebecca’s walked many different paths in life. Prior to yoga, she was a massage therapist {and may still practice it now} and gave me the BEST massage I’ve ever had in my life. Still, I compare every one to hers and none ever come close. And there was a short while, or maybe a few years, where she was a professional/amateur boxer as well.

Good information! Yoga is used as a general term for the disciplines which join the individual soul to the universal soul or cosmic consciousness.
