And I’ve been waitin’ so long… Now I gotta resurface

What I’m Wearing…

* Lee vintage modern denim unionalls (they’re having a 20% off sale right now!) – the legendary unionall remains my favorite thing to wear (for like 4 years now)
* Vintage black leather belt with silver eyelets
* Lieutenant’s hat for a reboot
* Marc Jacobs pillow bag (since forever)
* Also forever gold cat eye sunglasses by Barton Perreira
* Dr. Martens… Serena – boots with the (faux) fur

* Title: Post Malone – Cooped Up with Roddy Ricch… Cause I’ve been feelin’ cooped up – yeah 🙂

Well it’s been a few months and I’ve missed you all tons, and of course I have missed the feeling of being in this space… and what better day to reemerge than on my birthday, right? Wearing my second skin, my most comfortable outfit other than my birthday suit, my lee coveralls, which I still wear at least once a week (or maybe like 3-5 times a week -IF I’m being honest), to resurface in, as Post Malone says, after feeling cooped up for too long (click on my title-link above for reference).

As much as I love style and fashion, I love the ease of a uniform for everyday wear – more. I know this because back in the early aughts, I wore a juicy couture jumpsuit as often as I wear these coveralls (which I have in 4 colors now) and as much as I wear the free people dress (which I also have in 4 colors) because I like comfort and function and ease more than I like thinking about what I’m going to put on my body every day.

And though many of you started following along here when I worked at the art gallery and HAD to come up with a different outfit every day, this uniform mentality of throw on something you already know is comfy, cute and creates zero extra thought power is more my “norm” and unfortunately for blogging and “influencing” (a word I still cannot stand because it’s basically a glorified salesman) it’s rather boring… you know, posting the same dress and coveralls in every other post. So I’ve taken a break, though mentally I am still here almost every day.

Anyway, it’s my birthday. Again. 🙂

My 46th year I’ve celebrated on this planet… and 15th birthday I’ve celebrated on this blog.

I’m not sure which is more impressive, lol… I don’t feel 46 and I certainly don’t feel like I started my blog over 15 years ago.

But as I’ve been updating my old archived posts (which you can find at the very bottom of my sidebar or at the end of the page on mobile) the button where you can click a year and scroll through the time capsule of the last 15 years of my life, I found this simple fashion post from May 2009 of a cute denim jumpsuit I wanted to LIVE IN… and here I am now, just living my dream 😉

I guess if I had any advice for my past self it might be to… DREAM BIGGER 😉
