Let the Sun Fade Out to a Dark Sky

Camel Coat & Vintage Black Slip {dress}

What I’m Wearing…

* Vintage black slip dress I’ve had forever but haven’t worn forever and I’m SUPER excited about wearing slips as dresses again. Usually I have to layer a few, but it was evening, and though I showed it here without the coat, I left the coat on.
* Camel Coat by SMYTHE… I’m in love with this coat. like. in. love.
* Snakeskin heels by alice + olivia
* Crocodile dome bag by Brahmin
* Vintage earrings gold/red were my grandma’s
* Black choker with red stones I bought in NYC in 1997 with a matching bracelet. I’m pretty sure I’ve had this slip since then as well.
* Square tortoise sunglasses by Stella McCartney

* Title: lyrics from Sara Bareilles “I Choose You”

I had a little “Brave” left over on my hair and face, but I didn’t care… happy as a clam to have found this camel coat after searching for the perfect one for years, I splurged when I saw the silhouette and style so similar to my vintage military coat {though it is a bit longer} which I spent only $30 on at the Melrose Flea market over ten years ago. So I thought if I split the difference, the price wouldn’t have been so outrageous. And clearly, a well-fitting and timeless coat will look gorgeous for years to come {but it does need a good steam}.
