I knew when I moved into my office that I would eventually want to invest in a rug or two since I’m not entirely 100% happy with the rugs I’m currently using. I have a natural color faux cowhide rug in the sitting area and a blush pink real cowhide under my desk. I actually really like both of the rugs but their light tones sort of almost blend in perfectly with my light wood floors, which I wasn’t anticipating. However, I don’t really mind the matching hues, but it needs something… maybe a little texture or pattern or even color? I’m not sure.
I AM kind of leaning towards a contemporary (almost 80s) vibe or maybe just a grey-toned rug under my desk area, or maybe I should add some color like in the photo above… I just am not quite sure what direction to go in with a rug since I’ve also tried a natural/texture bohemian style rug with tassels that didn’t quite work either.
Maybe I just need a big fluffy oval rug under my desk… or maybe overlapping and layering a few would work? All this rambling is to say, yet again, that I am not sure what kind of rug or rugs I’d like to put in my office, but I need something that maybe makes more of a statement than the rugs I’ve got now.
Anyway, Mat Living has reached out to me for a collab and they’ve got a really cool selection of unique rugs and while I was browsing I just figured I’d share all the ones I’m looking at with you so you can help me decide which would be best in my office space.

* Neutral textured high-low rug (I actually really like the idea of this contemporary rug -above and below closeup) even though my past self would have been so upset about the 80s vibe, I kind of love it)

* Earthy aztec multicolor (definitely not feeling this one, but I liked the decor of the entire space so I had to include it!)
