What really began a few years ago (check out my DIY Spiky Sport sandals – I think they need a fresh makeover) is finally making its way back to the mainstream and after the minimalist phase, I have to say, I’m kind of loving it. Although part of me feels like this trend conjures up all the Vegas and Miami grandma vibes, but it may not be a bad thing. Hell, if we can accept the 90s Dad Sneaker trend, we can certainly accept foxy grandma, can’t we? 😉
The price point is all over the place from designer dandies over $500 to fast fashion favorites under $50. I think I’d fall somewhere in between, but maybe this is really calling for a DIY. I think maybe yes. But until then, here are a few of my faves for inspo and possible shopping…
