I LOVE when young artists get noticed for their terrific work. And even more, I love when they are family! Self-described as a “Satirical Cyber Feminist” my cousin Casey Kauffmann is a young and emerging artist who recently started an Instagrarm series/project called @UncannySFValley comprised of digital art based on her fascination with how people …
I’ve been trying to incorporate meditation into my daily routine for nearly a year now. Some days I am successful, but most days I am not. I’ve gone a good three days of meditation in a row before crapping out exclaiming that I just don’t have the time. But that’s just not the truth. I …

There’s something about this manicure that I am utterly obsessed with. I think it’s the perfect combination of subtle yet loud, ladylike but rebellious, mainstream but counter culture… and I just adore it. It’s so easy, I can’t believe I hadn’t thought of it sooner, and I’m sure it’s been done before for the same …

I never really got into the Milkmaid braids trend. I dunno, I think it was something about the title that turned me off. Also, in the past, it was more saved for little girls and old grannies, so I never felt it totally age appropriate, but I’m sure if done right, it looks nice and …

My story shouldn’t offend you if you’ve got differing opinions, nor should you take it personally or as a personal attack on the opposite side of the realm. What it is meant to do, besides help clear up some clutter in my own mind, is offer a little calm to those, who like me, are …

In the heat of the Summer, I want everything frozen. Everything. And since I’m trying to eat healthier and cut my sugars back, ice cream and ice blended coffee fraps are not necessarily on my daily intake list, though I wish they were! When we returned from our hike the other day I just wanted …

Sometimes just a little extra detail makes all the difference. I’ve been cutting up t-shirts since I was a kid {as many of you probably have too} but never quite like this. Mine frequently are of the slashed variety, like my open back t-shirt diy, but around the neckline and sleeves –which I mastered that …
