Sexy One Piece Bathing Suits

. . .but I haven’t found one that is flattering on me …though I haven’t tried in ages. But usually they are too short and ride up in the crotch then simultaneously flatten my chest. Neither of which are appealing. I think they look best on women with large chests and small waists because those both seem to be where the eye is drawn. Also, I don’t actually want too much coverage on the butt because like a bikini, the more fabric that covers the butt, the bigger it looks {and by bigger I mean wider}. I like a big butt but not in width 🙂

In my quest to find a one piece that works for my body type I’ve also noticed that a few companies are now making them in a “long torso” variety and that will hopefully solve my riding up/flatting & pulling issue. I never really considered myself long-torso’d but I can’t seem to put on a bathing suit or leotard that doesn’t feel like it’s about to cut me in half!

There are a TON of super cute one-piece bathing suits but the suits shown below I think fit the bill as far as my needs are concerned: long enough, boobacious {doesn’t flatten or pull down the chest}, no squeezing {extra skin out the sides}, great ass! …with links below.

best one piece bathing suits 2010

5. Calvin Klein Push Up Swimsuit $42
6. Delia’s Longer Torso Cinched Bandeau One-Piece $33.50 {juniors sizes}
7. J Crew Breezy dot tie-front tank suit $80
8. One-PIece Tie-Front Bandeau Swimsuit $39 {women’s/misses sizes}
9. See 4 above
10. Emilio Pucci stretch jersey one piece suit $285
11 & 16. Delia’s Longer Torso Triangle Halter One-Piece $33.50
12. RYGY Swimwear -native silver one piece $95
13. Victoria’s Secret Ruched one-piece $72

16. See 11. above

*Also cute but not shown: Victoria’s Secret Firm Control crisscross shaping one-piece $103 and Delia’s Long Torso Tunnel Strap One-Piece $14.99

As much as I like many of these prints {the top four are my favorite} I’ll probably just go with black …I love black bathing suits. Though prints are great at disguising imperfections 😉

    I almost bought #13 a few months ago but it was on backorder so I cancelled it. I still think two pieces are more convenient although my fat areas would like more coverage!

    Ooooh, suit # 12! Now if only I had the body to wear that, at least I’ve got 365 days to get in shape for it. Decided I’m skipping this summer.

    I agree, they aren’t very flattering on me either. I look and feel like I’m 10 years old- My 5’2″ frame can’t pull it off. # 7 looks like it would enhance the boob area because it looks like it has an underwire.

    As a long-torsoed gal myself, i understand the woes of the one piece. although i just love the retro-chic look of #7 and #8!

    here’s a tip for figuring out if you’re long- or short-waisted…”stand up straight, and see if you can fit two hand widths under your bust to your waist (narrowest point). If you can fit more than two hand widths you have a long waist, less than two, a short waist” (inside out style)

    I’m a 2.75 hander, thus very long waisted! aka – short legs! 🙂

    I just bought my first one piece to bring to Cancun with me. They called it a “monokini” but that sounds dorky for me to call it that. LOL. I like the ones that have cut outs on the side, it just looks better on me than the ones that don’t. But I do agree, it’s so hard to find a one piece that’s flattering.

    Love #8! I’ve been on the hunt for a cute, fashionable one-piece that is a bit more modest, especially now that I’m a mom, I feel weird going to the waterpark wearing my skimpy bikinis. These are all great picks!

    Wow Maegan you’re right…they are super cute! I would never even THINK about wearing a one piece before reading this post.

    But NOW…#13…WOW!

    My favorite might be the Pucci (OF COURSE) but I love the RYGY Swimwear grey suit as well. They all look like they’d be super-flattering, but for me, one-pieces make my legs look about 6″ long. I’m not sure how to remedy that besides wearing something thats cut really high in the leg, which I’m not into because you know, it’s not 1992.

    I agree!! One pieces are hot! I guess it reminds me of mom as a kid and how poised and confident she was wearing what’s sometimes called a “mom suit.” I think it radiates maturity. 🙂

    Oh girl, preaching to the choir. I refuse to wear a one-piece… I have a long torso AND tiny ta-tas that a one-piece does NOTHING for 🙁 Sad, b/c I love the retro 40s-starlet look to some of them. And then there are the leos… ugh. I have to wear them, but finding ones that both fit and flatter is a nightmare. I usually go with the lesser-of-all-evils. Don’t exactly feel attractive in a leo 🙁
    Thank god for bikinis! 🙂

    I got one similar to #14 at Target for $30 and love it. It also came in bright blue, so it looks more like I’m wearing it for color, as opposed to sucking things in 🙂

    July 2, 2010 | has some great vintage inspired suits! 🙂 I have the red one piece with white polka dots, and always get compliments on it! They also have the high waisted two pieces which might be a nice compromise if you cant quite find a once piece that works. AND they’re all under $100! 🙂

    I hope you find one you love!
